When you first enter the Life and IBD website, you will reach the Home Page. This will allow you to choose which disease (Ulcerative colitis or Crohn’s disease) you want more information about by clicking on the appropriate disease button. When you return to the website your browser will 'remember' your previous selection and you will be redirected to that page. If you wish to change your selection use the Home links at the top and bottom of the page to return to the Home Page.

In addition, the Life and IBD website also has videos embedded into some of the pages. To get these to play, click on the Play icon. When the video is playing you will be able to stop/start/fast forward/rewind by clicking on the appropriate button.

Once you are within a Topic of Interest Module you can access different section topics by clicking on the list on the right hand side of each page. Clicking on each of these will take you to a new page.

You can always tell where you are within each topic/section by looking at the “Where Am I?” navigation bar at the top of each page.

MildSevereSome pages have icons on them. The MILD or SEVERE icons give you information about certain aspects of the disease you are reading about in its milder or more severe manifestations.


ParentIn the Child age group modules there are the parent information links. By clicking on this link, additional information of use to parents will be accessed. This information is also highlighted by a PARENT icon.

The PARENT icon is also visible where parent and child activities are suggested.
