Thank you for accessing the DUTCH version of the Life and IBD website. The website has recently undergone an evolution which makes it even more user-friendly than the previous site.
The content is being translated from the original English version. While this is being completed, we would like to give you a quick overview of the website and how it has been updated and modified from the previous version.
Introduction to the EFCCA LIFE and IBD website
EFCCA (European Federation of Crohn’s and Ulcerative Colitis Associations) aims to improve the well-being of people with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and their partners and families. It does this through working with and for EFCCA Member National Associations and others throughout all of Europe, facilitating the exchange of information and the promotion of cross-frontier activities, while effecting regular contact with the European authorities, doctors, health professionals and organisations and with others world-wide.
The purpose of the LIFE and IBD website is educational; it is not a substitute for medical advice, rather it is intended to supplement efforts by national organisations throughout Europe. Developed by a pan-European board, the LIFE and IBD website topics and content have been directed by a Steering Committee of leading experts and people with IBD, with working groups guiding each module, before then being tested in IBD clinics with people at various stages of diagnosis.
